Digital alchemists
Digital alchemists see themselves standing in a shamanic, alchemistic line of tradition. They are modern researchers equipped with high technology on a quest for the ghost in the machine, for meta-communication with the planetary whole (the world soul) and functional ways of inner transformation. They understand the bits and bytes of cyberspace as primal material, the element from the infinite laboratory of nature, from which all further materials can be made from. As in ancient times they are settled at the borders of established science and feel themselves responsible for the communities living spirit. The scientific fields of bio-genetics, bio-technology and quantum mechanics are the novel forms of digital alchemy, paving the path for the fusion of man (animal), machine and god.
